Vigeland Sculpture Park & Museum
Vigeland Sculpture Park is the world’s biggest sculpture park. The entire legacy of Gustav Vigeland is exhibited here. He also planned and designed the park. In the southern part, visit The Vigeland Museum containing his early works, his ateliér and his home. Vigeland Sculpture Park is right by the bus stop.

The Frogner park
The Frogner Park is the entire park area, including the Vigeland Sculpture Park. A lively spot, with lots of people gathered to enjoy the weather, a meal or a cup of coffee in one of the cafés and restaurants. The park has Norway´s largest collection of roses, 14000 plants from 150 species.

Kon-Tiki Museum
Kon-Tiki Museum holds a large collection of items linked to Thor Heyerdahl and his voyages. Heyerdahl crossed the Pacific Ocean in a float made by balsa. It has a library in his name, also an underwater exhibition. The museum is right by the bus stop.

Fram Museum
The Fram Museum is named after the ship who first crossed the North West Passage. Here you will find items from that voyage, and every 20 minutes there is a display inspired by the Northern Lights (Aurora Borealis). The museum also works with important environmental matters, threatened species, the shrinking of the polar ice and oil and gas emissions. Right by the bus stop.

Norwegian Maritime Museum
This museum contains large collections documenting norwegian coastal culture, maritime industry and history. It shows items, vessels, art, drawings of ships and boats, maps, books, magazines, photos and private archives. They also offer trips by boat, one of them a reconstruction of a wreck found in Bjørvika, Oslo. Right by the bus stop.

Akershus Fortress
The medieval fortress was built in the late 12. century to protect Oslo. It started as a fortified medieval castle, later transformed into a renaissance castle. It has never been conquered, but was surrendered to Nazi Germany without fighting, during the second World War. The fortress is an open area., free for everyone to explore. 8 minutes’ walk up from the cruise terminal.

Armed Forces Museum
Armed Forces Museum opened in the 1860s and is the main museum of the armed forces. The exhibition shows the history of the Norwegian armed forces from the 14. century until present. 10 minutes’ walk from the cruise terminal.

BUS STOP: THE NORWEGIAN NATIONAL OPERA AND BALLET

The Norwegian National Opera and Ballet
The Norwegian National Opera And Ballet opened in 2008. The building is located by the fjord, depicting an iceberg coming up from the sea. Visitors can take a stroll on the roof and admire the panoramic view of the Oslo Fjord all year. The opera offers a varied program in three different theaters. The roof, foyer and balconies are also used for concerts. Right by the bus stop.

The MUNCH Museum
In 2021, the MUNCH finally was ready to open. The 60 meter building has 13 floors, containing the astonishing art of Edvard Munch. In addition to Munch’s art, the museum offers concerts, movies, club concepts, debates and performance. From the Opera it is a 4 minutes’ walk.

Oslo Cathedral
Oslo Cathedral is located on Stortorget. Consecrated in 1697, it has later been through rebuilding’s and restorations. Since 1905, the Norwegian royal family uses the site for public events. From Jernbanetorget it is a 5 minutes’ walk.
